Tumblr appears to have rolled out an update so unpopular that it nuked itself (the site seems to be down for me), which is honestly kind of funny. I wonder if they're scrambling to roll back the new addition, which would be a first because I don't remember a single time they've done this for like. Any other update at all.

EDIT: 30 minutes later and it's back, and the update is still there. Well, if they decide to keep it, this might be that website's death knell. I'm glad I made the decision to post more often on here.

I have been a lurker on Dreamwidth for a while now, and the new Tumblr update finally inspired me to get over here and start making the place my own. Honestly, I am hoping to bring some friends and mutuals over here as well. I trust DW a bit more than I do Tumblr, even if they roll back their decision.

As I'm replying to this, they have rolled it back! Kind of! But yeah, I agree with you, even with that I still plan to use this site on the side and am hoping for people to take to more long-form text writing... not the likeliest thing, but. hopefully?
